Awhile back I noticed this little shell thing and since then it has grown. I first noticed it on the sandbed and then it kept moving around. Last week when I lifted some base rock to do a cleaning it saw it upside down stuck to a rock. The section of rock was 4" above the bottom sandbed. It must have climbed up the rock and found a good spot. I have it in a piece of egg crate for photo purposes, but I think it needs to get back to a dark spot.
Would like to know what it is and if many can be kept to help purify water? The shell it blue and white and opens about 1/8" wide. Thanks.
