Nano with only powerhead - no HOB?

Hi,

I've got a 10 gallon with a HOB filter with carbon bag swapped bimonthly. About a month ago, I started using a Koralina Nano powerhead which made much more flow.

I just shut off the HOB for the first time to see what powerhead only flow would be like, and its surprisingly silent. Can I run the 10 gallon with only this powerhead? Its plenty of flow - and much more versatile around the tank.

Is there a big loss to using only the powerhead, other than the ease of introducing carbon? I've just only run it with this setup....

Experience limited to the last 2 months, but my frag tank is on an AC mini without any issues. Filter return is in the middle of a topless tank and Duncan frag way off to the side wall gets plenty of flow.
