Finally set up the chiller (just got back from a HVAC recharge and check up) and have it set up on the Medusa.....All I can say is I LOVE IT!!!!


Chiller kicks on any time after tank temp hits 80 and will pull it back down within a few minuets. It is a drop in 1/4 hp and the heater kicks on anytime temp drops below 77.

If you don't have one I would highly suggest it and If you can make it through summer you can probably score a deal online (BRS, RC or online vendor/auction).

Are you sure you temp swing is that big? Three degrees seems like a lot to me. My Medusa temp swing is 1.6, which I'm not real comfortable with.

I am pretty sure I have just started to play (program it). Ill have to check I was going off memory for the setting.

Got 1HP chiller turned on 2 days ago man this thing kicks but pulls temp down 2 degrees on about 1,000 gallons. The 8,000 BTU window air was not cutting it in the fish room.
