Peppermint Shrimp Question

If you have lots of peppermint in your tank, do they kill each other untill one survives? I read that somewhere on RC and also i noticed that in my tank. I used to have four and after few months only one left for a long long time.

If i get only one, will they run around whole tank for food / aiptasia ? I have only few aiptasia in a corner and like to get a peppermint but not sure how many i need. I have a 115G tank.

Had 5 went down to 2. Have had the 2 for about a year now.

I have had 4 in a 46 gallon for over 2 years no problem.....No coral banded shrimp that is a whole diff ball gave, I made the mistake of getting 2 and now only have 1.
