pistol shrimp question

today i saw my pistol climbing up part of my back wall on the tank. the glass! has anyone ever seen this?i'm not worried just thought it was a stragne behavior as i've never seen him doing it.

I've had one in my tank for over 5 years never see him only hear him

I recently took all of his rock work away and they really freak out when they have lost their cave he may have had his home messed up and freaked out doesn't know where to go try setting up a rock situation and placing him into it

Ive seen hermits climb what looks to be "glass" but actually is little pieces of alage that they can get a hold of.

it did look like it was grabbing algae but i didn't think pistols ate that. the goby was right there watching him. they have a massive tunnel network that goes from one side of my tank to the other. it just seemed funny to me.

i see my pistol all the time he is out a lot now. the longer he has been in the tank the more he has come out. he been in there a couple of months. i have never heard him pop off once.
