pump demensions

does anyone know the base demensions of a MAG 5? i plan on switching to that in my sump/fuge but need to besure i leave enough room for it if it's larger than what i have now...

MarineDepot (http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=DN1123) lists it as 5.0" x 3.8" x 4.2" (L x W x H).

I can double check this after I sleep a little bit. I have a mag5 on my tank.

thanks for the help.....i saw that site but never noticed the demensions!! if anyone does have one and knows the width...that is the one i need....that would be great!!!

I just measured mine the width is 3 3/4.

thank you very much jim tansey!!!! that is very good since when i planned the sump/fuge...i left 4" on each end for the CPR protien skimmer and the return pump on the other end....that demension is great!!!!

Don't forget to leave room for the elbows and or hose barbs coming off the pump.

barbs and elbows come off the top and front of pump.....not the sides. that is why the width is what i wanted to know....when the pump is in place you will see the front of it...the pick up side...it will fit, but thanks for the heads up!!!
