So a while ago I noticed that some algea growing under the seals or seal protectors they called them in my Red Sea tank. I also noticed the seal protectors did mot seem to be glued to the glass.

I sent Red Sea a message with the pictures below. They told me that the issues was with the seal protectors not the seals, but they agreed to send me a new tank since the tank was under warranty.

not sure if anyone has seen this happen to Red Sea tanks before.

Damn Ive had a reefer 350 For over 4 years and my ram protectors look nothing like that. Even if they give you a new tank it’s be a huge pain in the a** to transfer everything over in a safe manner.

Yea planning the transfer in a few weeks. Won’t take the chance with it since I have heard of people having leaks
If you can document the transfer on a build thread, I’d love to follow along.

I have a 350 i bought used as well and all the seals are in perfect condition. +1 on red sea sending you a new one and good luck with the transfer thats going to be a pain for sure.

Giving it away to anyone that wants it. You need to reseal it and build the overflow pipes or buy them.
