Safe way to get rid of salt creep on ballast connections?

So I took the ballast out from under the stand today and it does look like there is some salt creep on the connection parts where the power cord plugs into...

So how can I safely clean it up?

You can use an aerosol product called "electrical contact cleaner". It's non-conductive, and leaves no residue, but cleans crud and water off of connections.

Sweet... Just what I was looking for... Too bad I'm in no condition to drive and get some (on percocet for pain )

You can just clean it off with fresh water, then towel dry, then soak it in 100% isopropyl alchohol to effectively dry out the connections.
