Sand question

So I bought caribsea super naturals for use in my saltwater aquarium. I figured I would try using sand to see how the look would be. However soon after I added the snails to the tank the nassarius snails would flip over and seem to have died about a day or 2 after and the conch that I added also seemed unhappy. The other snails just stick to the glass and seem fine. Is there something wrong with the sand that I bought or might it be something else?

How long has the tank been setup for?

The sand was also dry sand and is fine grained if that adds anything

I guessing your tank is not cycled if only up for a week. this hobby is a slow ya roll hobby. research research research and then research again. I don’t mean google either as you will get 100 answers for the same question. members here or on R2R learn how to do a fish less cycle of your tank that is where you should be starting. good luck on the new system and Happy Reefing!
