hi
A friend of mine has sea horses and was wondering what corals can be kept with them

I was thinking gorgorian is a good one, and maybe most softies

anyone have any thoughts?

Gorgonians, and some nice tall algae. When is aw them in the wild they were in high flow areas and always in places with lots of macro algae. I even saw them in between rocks in beaches in Brazil.

Some nice big feather dusters might look good also.

Not necessarily harm, but acros and sea horses aren't necessarily a good mix - the sea horses tend to harm the acros by hitching to them, and seahorses really do better in cooler temperatures (~74 degrees) - higher temps tend to lead to more bacterial infections in seahorses - and some do better in slightly subdued lighting - conditions which acros won't adapt to as well as other less demanding corals. I might also stay away from really noxious corals like torches that could sting the seahorses if they try to hitch to their polyps

Have them go on to seahorse.org They have a whole library of which fish and corals are OK. Their forum, has great people on it, that will help with any and all questions they have.
