Splitting light times

Just wondering if anyone splits their times on the lighting.

Currently, mine are on 10AM-12AM. Yup, 14 hours with a very slow ramp time. I figure reefs get 12 hours a day so what's a couple extra hours.

I don't really get to enjoy the tank on my day off, like one day off in three weeks, max two a month. My fish will probably not like it, but how would the corals respond? In the end, I'll probably try to keep it stable for the fish, since I like them , but just wondering if anyone does 6 hours here and 6 hours there.

I can't be the only one working nights

The tanks are in the basement with covered windows so light bleed is not a problem.

OMG, PERFECT!

I'll probably do a modified 6-6-6-6. My hands are in the frag tank more often anyways and I can add screens if it gets in the way of the display when I set it up.
