Stand

why not have one of the box stores cut you a piece of plywood to make the door (just cut it 1/4" shorter than the stand).
 
This is what I have.
I used thinner plywood sheets, painted with a waterproof stain/paint. Covered the stand on the sides and half of the back for air flow. For the front, I used D ring picture hangers on a nice piece of thin painted plywood that hung on a screw on the top left and right of the front of the stand. It’s more like a hanging door.

Just miter cut the 4 outside pieces like a picture frame and wood glue it all together on the inside piece.
