To all who QT inverts.

My question is, if you quarantine inverts let's say snails for example. Is the need for keeping them in the tank for 76 days needed if they are kept in a observation tank that houses a fish. Reason for asking is because if the inverts were carrying hitchhiker ich tomonts wouldn't they release and look for a host ( being my 1 fish in the observation tank ) and wouldn't that fish be the proof that the inverts did or didn't have they parasites on them. So this being my case, is 30 days in QT be enough?

I believe u need to quarrantine without fish so parasites does not have a host to attach to and eventually die off. Fish with strong immune system won't show signs of parasites on them until a stress event.

You will need to quarantine any corals/inverts in a fishless environment if you are worried about parasites.
