too much light?

would a 250 watt MH pendant be to much for my 15g tank? it's not really 250. the bulb is 175 and it has 2 28 watt? T5's. right now i have 130watt PC over the tank. would i just "burn" my corals if i tried this light. would it be better for me in the long run? i don't intend on keep may (if any) SPS or gorgonians that reguire intense light.

i have the oppertunity to buy a nice light, but i have some other expenses that came up this weekend so i would need to grab other money put away for a house. is this something i shoulnd't pass up or would i get "burn".

any help would be greatly appreciated.

if your not doing sps....the pc lights should be fine...why deal with the heat and electric bill if you don't need to. Most use MH lighting because of the types of corals they keep (like sps).

for 15 gallon, may be you should consider a 70w MH HQI.

I look at the photo of the pendant, the MH part is 175W, may be you are OK by just running the MH and keep the t5 off. Also hang the light high, or even better, get a bigger tank.
