I recently discovered what seem to be egg pods in my reef tank . Can anyone ID them?

Sorry, don't know the id.
Can you give us a list the creatures in that tank (inverts esp.)?

ALso a thought - do you have a sump or fuge you could carefully transport them for safety and to to see what happens?

looks like whelk eggs.... i used to find them washed up on the beach when i lived in florida!

I did some poking around and found that also -
Just a suggestion, there may be another possibility if newportcatch doesn't have a whelk in their tank, and that might be a king conch.

right on the money.!!!!!!!! I just brought home one of these from Florida but pulled it out of my reef tank when I read it was carnivorous.i guess it left a present behind. I have now re-united themin another tank.
