What is wrong with my pink tail trigger?

I bought him from sea creatures (which is a great store) about 4 weeks ago and all he does is hide in a hole and only comes out to feed. He looks fine but he is so inactive. The last pink tail that I bought from there never stopped swimming back and forth. He was my favorite and a very entertaining fish. The other fish in the tank are always out but he seems to be shy. Are they normally this sluggish or did I get a lazy one? Is there anything I can do to get him swimming?
