ZOAS - Dissappearing off rock???

There are some fungal infections that kill zoanthids, although I've only seen and heard of white ones. I forget what the treatment is, but I recall that it is usually an acute, not a chronic problem, and may kill a colony, buy usually doesn't kill a whole tank worth. Search for zoa fungus or something like that, and you'll probably get more info.

I would do a hydrogen proxide dip, the ones that are covered dont have a great chance of recovering but the ones not infected yet should do fine. The proxide will kill the fungus :) I usually do a cap of proxide and a gal of tank water. You can also do a fresh water dip w/proxide but I dont think you use as much. Check out reef central zoanthid forum for directions of the fresh water dip.
