Help with Green Tree Coral

I have a really bright flourecent green tree coral that I got as a frag 6 months ago. It has never fully opened or gotten bigger. I have moved it from place to place in my tank but no changes. I am running 2 250 MH.
I have tpically kept in low in the tank but should it be kept high in the tank?
I would love to show it off.

My Green tree is on the bottom of a 30" high tank also w/ 2 x 250's. Mine took a while to start growing but once it started has continued on it's path to take over the tank. I'd say keep it low.

How tall is your tank? They like low light. I keep mine under 250w MH's at the bottom of a 23" tall tank. Generally speaking they're pretty hardy.

I would keep it low and give it some more time.

Any chance something is pecking at it? In the FWIW category, I find that the bright green morph that I have is less likely to open up fully compared with other tree corals.

Greg is absolutely on the money with that one. I've had a super bright green morph for over two years now and it hasn't grown much. Another FWIW observation is that this tree coral likes it high up in the tank with alot of light.

It's only grown about an inch in the two years. I have regular GTC also that grows out of control.

My tank is 23' deep as well..and I have 2 250's as well..I just moved it to the bottom under a ledge..hopefully that will help. I just noticed that it is beginning to look a little brown..i hope it bounces back.

So...some say low light and others say high light. Sigh...It definitely is a slow grower.

Mine seems to be very sensitive to Mg concentration. When it was below 1100 it did not open all the way.
