PVC cement reef safe?

I let it cure over night before getting wet

I think I've got about 6 hours or so before it sorta NEEDS to get wet... Think i've got a decent chance of survival?

Heck,I've had water running through in 30 seconds.
Why wait???

this is safe, but sorta overkill

this might be safe, but is sorta underkill :p

I think an hour should be more than fine, and I have had water running through glued PVC in about 5 minutes. Granted, my large system water volume may have diluted any toxins, but no ill effects, other than that the added plumbing made me more likely to have a flood :p :)

"the added plumbing made me more likely to have a flood"

Jay,that was just a snail conspiracy.lol

So far so good. I'll post pics of the new setup later this week so long as everything doesn't die.

In a pinch I've had to do it rather quickly and wait a few minutes... I usually try to wait an hour or two... When I was working for a pool company and did a lot of plumbing we only waited a few minutes and with some of those filters and pumps if it wasn't dry that would cost thousands so it's def safe to hit water pretty quickly...

All one has to do is put some fittings together wrong to find out just how fast it dries.:p
