BRS ...... soda ash or kawlk????

Whats rec for raising ph alittle. I haved learned that soda will raise alky aswell. I dont need that ptob again. I run my light cycles oppisite and the fuge light only runs for 6 hrs. Ph will not raise above 7.9 snd averages 7.8 and drops to 7.7 tjrough out the day.

I use brs soda ash for kh but I wouldn't worry about our PH going up and that like that its normal

Just leave your PH alone and keep the alk right.

My PH runs the same. My understanding is its fine. Better to be there and consistent than it is to be messing with it

Ph is one of those things that changes depending on many factors.
Aeration and CO2 build up in the house during cold months can change it.
Some folks will run their skimmer aeration tube outside to mix in fresh air with the tank water.
I don't really worry about it.Most that happens is a slight cyano outbreak on occasion.

I have my skimmer piped to an outside tube sucking fresh air constantly beacuse of the fuge/sump being in and closed closet with bifold doors that gets opened every now and then.So I wont sweat it then.. thanks guys.
