Chemipure for a nano

I have a 15 gallon nano with a AC500 fuge ... I put a small bag of Chemipure in the fuge (along with sand & rock & chaeto). Tank is doing extremely well ... I have 3 fish (2 clowns and a royal gramma), 6 hermit crabs, 10 snails, zoos, xenia, blasto and mushroom frags growing nice. I change water 20% once a week ... my water parameters have been consistantly excellent (0 to <.25 ppm NH3, 0 ppm NO2, 0 ppm NO3).

Does anyone have recommendations as to when to change the chemipure? The manufacturer claims 4-6 month life; I don't want to experience a water quality degregation to "learn" when the actual life of the resin will be in my tank.

Although I cannot comment on the chemipure product, I have the exact same setup as you (See photography forum for a picture).

In my AC500, I am running a small bag of carbon, phosguard, and Purigen.

Just out of curiousity if your water params are excellent, and you're keeping up with your water changes, why run the chemipure?
