I have an issue developing that I am concerned about. I have a pair of mated GSMs which I have had for about a year, and they have been together probably 3 or 4. i have never had any issues with them harassing anything in my tank. I went to go check on them before I took of for a short ski trip up north this morning and suddenly the large female looks like she is in rough shape. Her fins and tail look to be torn up a bit. At first I though maybe fin rot, but this seemed to have happened very quickly as I think I would have noticed it in the last few days.
The only other thing I noticed was that a few times it did look like the small clown was actually going after her a few times like they were legitimately fighting. I have seen them interact in funny behavior when eggs are involved, but never seen damage before.
Could the male suddenly turn on and hurt the bigger female?
I am not able to get pics today, but I will get some as soon as possible.
