Corn Starch in Fish Goo?

Okay, this may be completely crazy, but I think I once heard years and years ago that when making ice cubes of fish goo, you can dust the cubes lightly in corn starch to prevent them from sticking together after being removed from the ice cube tray and when placed in a ziploc bag all together. Is this true?

I've used it my in freshwater fish goo for Discus... although i don't know if theres something bad in it for SW?
