Power outtage!, from 9AM to 10:10AM according to the town official!

I did not notice that until by find out both power filters on the Cichlid tank were not pumping water. (no battery back up for them)

I came home with all the reef tank looks as usual. All fish and coral are as good as usual.

Battery backup rock!

Only an hour of power outtage wouldnt hurt anything.
3+ Then I would worry.

actually I think all the pumps were running during the power outage. Those little battery UPS can power all the Seios for >8 hrs. And I an't got no sump for 4 out of 5 tanks. The only tank with sump is also OK.

I now have the battery backups that Greg Hiller recommended. They are awesome. Our power outtage a few weeks ago was for about 4 hours and when it came back on the main return from the sump didn't kick in. I now have three of the battery backups going. It is one of the problems of having the tank at school, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.
