Went to home depot sunday morning and couldn't find 1/2 pvc shut off valve(did'nt have any).So I asked the employee if they had some.nope! this other patron says why can't you use a ball valve?I explain and he says that he has used brass and such in his tanks b4. Uh!Yeh! Then the employee says he used brass and copper stuff when he raised frash water amenomees.
