Will he respond? Bet your a** I will. First, anyone who compares his f#$%#@g fish to his wife, needs to see a shrink, and stop browsing the web for porn ASAP. Also, I don't suppose any of you pathetic "PLEASE GOD DON'T HURT THE FISH" types ever ingest a steak, do you? How do you suppose that cow got on your plate, dumbass? Get a grip. I have spent MANY thousands of dollars on this "hobby",not to mention the hours of labor, and I take great pride, and joy in it. However, life's limitations caused me to allow 1 fish and 3 snails to die. LORD JESUS, PLEASE HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL! I suppose, rather than go to work, I could have quit my job, allowed my FAMILY to starve, and moved into my Mom's basement (where many of you probably reside now), and taken care of my precious snails. Oh, before I go, GOD help those of you who have used Flatworm exit to massacre so many millions of innocent flatworms in your pseudo-Nazi quest to rule your 55 gallons of water. Just think of all the motherless flatworm babies out there.... .

PS. To those of you that I have not heard from in a while, "Hi. It's great to be back, my friends."

Hi Harley,

I hope you were not put off my talk of "killing" of our animals? It was not intended to bash you in any way. I have pasted in my last response the the previous thread that was closed before I could post (written before I ever saw this post):

Nate, Steve, of course I agree - intent is what sets our actions in play and, hopefully, sees them through to their successful ends. Good intent should lead to good actions. However, the pitfall we can't let ourselves fall into is that intent is all that is important. Both the "ends" and the "means" do matter, and neither one or the other in themselves necessarily result in a good outcome. My "harsh statement" was intended to focus the discussion on the "ends", while the previous discussion had been focused on the "means". Both need to be considered in any judgment of morality. Between the bounds of "all means" and "all ends" there exists a large grey region that we all must realize are open to individual interpretation.

I never actually weighed in on my opinion on this particular case, but I'd hazard to say there was no intent to harm the reef. Sounds more like dealing with life (more important) got in the way of dealing with the reef tank. The guy was happy that his situation didn't result in the total annihilation of his tank, and after dealing with the other things in life that had sapped his ability to spend time on his reef, was looking forward to recovering and getting things back in order. Sometimes the reality of life gets in the way of good intentions.

Thanks, Dave. If your in need of Xenia, let me know. I have more than enough. Also, funny thing, my tank has no algae, parasites, or other nasties to speak of. Everything seems very healthy. Millions of pods too. BTW, what's a full moon party?

Jeeez.
Harley, take some time off from posting.
If you continue in this manner we'll have to suspend your account.
Thanks.
