How to tell if your UV is on?

So, I just installed my brand spanking new Pentair 40.

Water is flowing through it, but I have just one question: How do I know if the bulb is even on?

I used off white/clear barb fittings so mine glows and I know if build was out

The end will illuminate on the Pentair 40 watt. I have the same one

Besides the glow, you can also check the current draw on the plug if you plug them into GHL or Apex or any of the power bar that has current reading capability.

Or you could turn the water off but not unplug the light like I did…..and touch a super hot UV…….yeah
