Are they really that good to justify a 50% more than ATI bulbs?

No, I found ATI to be the best, depending which bulb your looking at, kz does have the one high par bulb

Kz- bulbs are great. They are a few dollars more but the purple and coral bulbs are amazing bulbs. I spend the extra 25$ because I buy bulbs every 10 mths and buy what bulbs I enjoy ...I mean I have to look at this tank everyday

kZ New Generation and the Fiji purple are definitely worth the extra money. The spectrum is awesome. I still use the ATI blue bulbs though, those are the best blues from my experience.

Same here...I use the Ati b+ but kz new Gen, kz- Fiji, and kz coral plus in addition to the 3 ATI blue and Ati actinic.
