lighting for a 120

looking for a 48" fixture for my new tank. I'm gonna keep softies,zoa's and some lps. would a t5 fixture work,maybe 8x54w? I like the tek 5 8x54. any input would be great. thanks, peter

a tek 8x54 watt would likely work fine for keeping softies and LPS on a 120 gallon tank. If you wanted to go a bit higher end there's the ATI and Constellation fixtures as well. Just make sure you get high quality bulbs to go with whatever fixture you get.

If your just going to be keeping LPS and softies T5's will be more than enough. Some of the better T5 fixtures can even keep SPS...

I have a 4 tube Overdriven Ice Cap t5 set up in the for sale forums. I have 1 about 3 - 4 mos old and 1 brand new in box.
I'm sure you could keep any corals under these with proper placement.
