Possible group buy for 200g mix of Red Sea Coral Pro Salt?

I'm definitely in for one and my buddy is as well so 3 total for me :)

I'll also message the Red Sea guys.....see who it is that we may be dealing with.

I reached out to our Red Sea guy and got the following information:
1 - He is a product specialist, not a sales rep (my bad :))
2 - He said he is happy to help accelerate the process - asked for the # of bags we are looking for, the store and contact information. (might want to talk to B or KCA about this).....he would send an email.
3 - The 200g bags are not the best for multi use - he said they are not resealable and the ink on the bag can wear off - suggest transferring right to a salt bucket.

I assume he will reach out to the local boston rep and get things moving if we want........we would need to make sure KCA or Skiptons is OK with us having the rep reach out to them - although it seems KC is having difficulty.

Let me know what you guys think......if you can get me the information, I can get it over to them, they contact the store and we get a price.

Leme know.

Thanks

Im going to pass on the 2 bags. Thanks for looking into this.

i guess ill go and buy some skiptons. this takes too long.

drop my 200 dollars worth please. ill spend the money to get it now.

Marine Depot has the 175g one sale for $54.99. Shipping if free for orders of $175 or more.

I'm not sure how this salt fares against the Crystal Sea Reef Blend salt, but I believe the Crystal Sea Reef Blend box for 150 gallons was 45 at oceans in glass last time I was there ... "maybe" we can try to get a group discount if enough of us can make up our mind ... so far I've no issues with the Crystal Sea.

Never heard of that salt. I have used IO for 11yrs and decided after numerous reviews from fellow reefers to change to to Red Sea, very much hooked. Red Sea 175g Bucket is $54.99 at multiple places, for $10 more you get 25g more mixture over the Crystal Sea Reef.
Not that I dont want to use KCA but 2+weeks to get a price is getting a little aggravating. If someone wants to set this up through there LFS and can get a killer price for the bag (200g mix) I would still be down for a couple.
If KCA came through I was just going to have everyone call them directly to pay but mention the group buy to get the discount.

i just spoke to b again this week. he can easily do 60 for the 200 gal mix. if we can get a confirmation he can even do a little better. if you go into skiptons just ask for 60 on the 200. he said he can do it for that price individually. its coming in on tuesday with 70 bags.

just a heads up

I got a message from B today, because I PM'd him about going down.

He said he can do a group by but it is not setup yet. He will see about working something out over the next few weeks.

Just figured I would save people the trip in case they decided to run down there this week.

I am still in for a couple of bags if this gets setup soon.

whoa...I never said I woudl do anything....? AS of right now I was planning on bringing in 10 bags, 4 of them for First timer, the rest are store use for the shop...I can get plenty more, just need to know who needs what before I order (I place my order tonight once the shop is closed, 6pm) So if you PM or email me before 6pm I can have a bag here for you Tuesday evening (order comes in around 5pm)

Also, in no way do I want to step on any toes, if this is going through Roger at KCA, then please continue to do a groupbuy with Roger. If he is unable to put it together or something falls through I am more than happy to help out.

I can get them for $65 all day long no problem....If we get a bunch of people to commit then we can get them for $60. If we get enough people to commit to a pallet I can get an even better price break. (that would be 36 bags) They are one single bag of the RS Coral Pro Salt Mix it will mix 200 gallons of saltwater. AS mentioned Red Sea does recommend that you use the salt all in one batch, but as long as you pour what you do not use into a bucket and protect it from moisture you can use the rest at another time with no problem. We do that in here with no problems all the time.( I just reccommend mixing it up a bit to be sure that all the Magnesium is mixed well)
