Its an excellent book (though pricey). I would gladly donate some cash for it.

Wow....485 pages. I had a look at the table of contents. And quite a scientific book. The price is indeed high at around $265. The information is largely based on work on the reef, but some of it might be applicable to our tanks. Let me talk to the BOD, see how our finanaces square up with this. I have to say I'm kind of in favor of getting it. It's the kind of book that can be purchased with pooled resources that few would consider to purchase on their own.

I've read it and there are a number of sections directly applicable to our tanks not just on disease but also the physiology of corals, the symbiotic algae, metabolism, etc. It's compiled from mostly primary literature which is why it's so pricey.
