Ranco vs. Aqua Logic Temp Controller

Whatever you use you should have a backup for it. I use to small heaters and each heater has a temp setting with it and they are connected to separate temp controller. One a Ranco and the other a AC3 with another controller turning on a fan if the temperature gets too high. Call me paranoid. :)

Paul I've used both and both have worked very good so far. I haven't heard any complaints that I can think of off the top of my head from others.

I dont think they are. They are basically the same thing. Ronco is cheaper but just cause its not really made for aquariums. Aqualogic is and thats why the increase in price.

Thanks Peter. I was going to put two 250W heaters on a temp controller and a third 250 on my AC3.

Thanks Arthur. It does seem that the Ranco is more popular. At least they're mentioned more than the Aqua logic controllers in my readings.
