Rowaphos: wash or no wash?

Do you wash it?
The instruction say not to wash it. But this stuff is nasty and I usually wash all the media before I put it in the tank.

At MACNA I talked to the guy at the ROWA display he said to rinse it. I have always rinsed both ROWA and phosban, then I run them through a poly pad till I don't get any red staining from the pad.

Yup, one tablespoon for me. I just need it at the effluent of the Ca reactor.
