What's the average lifespan of the above?
I've had mine since about half dollar size and going on 5+yrs. Always fed meaty foods/Algae sheets/fresh produce. Lately cannot keep the weight on. Big belly but everywhere else looking thin. No signs of disease or stress and still is an active swimmer. All parameters are in check. Nitrates are detectable due to skimmer being down for a week , but these signs where visible before that.
Any thoughts?
