Silicone Question

I have to mount my new overflows on my Tank... they are acrylic, the tank is glass... what silicone should I use?

RTV 100 or RTV 108 (black). Get it at a Grainger.

Ok, so this will not leach out any chemicals or anything into the water?

No. The silicone jimmy suggested is aquarium safe and also has a high tensile strength. Just let it cure before filling the aquarium with water.

Don't use any silicone that states it's "Mold Resistant" most are... you need to look around GE has one you can find at your local building supply. The mold resistant types have anti-fungal components you don't want in your tank.
