Hey There,
I have a 75g mixed reef with 7 colonies of SPS (mini colonies - maybe 3-4” diameter + 1 decent size green skimmer colony.
all my Acros are thriving except one colony. I waited out and tonight I saw something that looked like a black - “slug/tick” was at the base of the Acro in question.
it was almost the size of a small Astrea star, but black, moved like a slug, looked like it had a few red dots on it, when I hit it with flashlight it moved. I removed it (didn’t get a pic) but what is this pest?! Looks too big to be a black bug.??
thoughts?
thanks,
RJ
