What i feel is another stupid question??

So i'm looking at getting a couple zoa's and star polyps this weekend but i'm a little confused. I think i'm going to get 3 different plugs of zoas and let them grow as well as 1-2 polyps.

But what do they eat? I've read to feed them, each polyp individually, or to just add iodine to the water? I'm so confused.

Star polyps don't eat, you can feed zoas but it is not necessary. All of them are photo synthesis coral.

Zoas and star polyps will be fine with good water and light. Play polyps will do better and grow faster with feeding. A lot of the corals we keep will do fine with no direct feeding.
