Yanked the bio-wheel out of the 12g this morning...

I'll teach those nitrates.

I've been stuck at <15ppm NO3 and it may be due to overkill. 10lbs LS and 13lbs+ should be able to carry the tank. The wheel is stored in tank water...just in case.

Any thoughts?

I'd take the wheel out completely.

Good choice to remove it. You're in good shape with your rock and sand, asuming they've been in the tank for a month or so.
