Mysterious Fish disappearance

So I bought several fish and was putting them in a bucket to acclimate them. I put the Blue Spotted Jaw fish in first. Then I went to put in a Purple FireFIsh Goby (I dumped the bag and water into the bucket). He was kind of small. When I looked in the bucket he was not there. I looked in the bag, on the floor and nothing. He completely disappeared.

Any chance the Jaw fish made a snack of him when he hit the bucket? I looked all around expecting to find him somewhere on the floor figuring maybe he jumped before I could get the lid on to start acclimating but no sign of him anywhere.

Was this a Houdini fish or just and expensive lunch for my jaw fish

Maybe it never got out of the bag. Stuck in a corner

I know, I looked everywhere and no sign. I would have seen him on the floor if he jumped out of the bucket. I also looked multiple times at the bag, that was my first thought. Not there either.

yup but again I was right there and the cat was no where to be found. im still thinking my Jaw fish had a nice snack. I even called my wife in the room and she could not find it.
