when I set up my 125g i filled it with plain water and experimented with the plumbing for a few days to get it quiet.I also found rigid pipe makes more noise than flexible.

Yea I forgot to add I will be replacing all the rigid tubing with the spaflex type. They didn't have it at my local HD so I just bought a cheap piece of rigid to make all the cuts and figure out the lengths. Much less $ to figure that out on the cheap stuff.
