i got a pre drilled tank used and have had it running for a week just hooked up the sump to realize that there is a small leak in one of the bulkheads very smalll anyone any advice on how to seal it without draining the tank? please help.

thank you Mason

how small? if timy, it will prob seal it self with some gunk.... maybe some silicone or epoxy would work. or you could just do the safe thing and replace the bulkhead.

Take a look at the bulkhead, where is the gasket? It should be against the flange and not the nut. If the gasket is against the flange it's installed incorrectly and needs to be fixed.

If the gasket is in the right place, try tightening the nut a bit by hand. Do not use a wrench of any sort, but if you can move the nut with your hand then you can snug it up. If that doesn't work, look for cracks in the plastic...

so im assuming you have no overflow box right?,and the hole is in the bottom im guessing or this wouldnt be much of a problem...........and john is right about the gasket it goes on the inside of the tank inb etween the flange and the tank
