These heal after a few weeks, and will become round again over time.

Problem is now I'm salivating over my Heliofungia actiniformis....somebody stop me!

lol, you started it, i hack my leather on a regular basis, and alot of my other stuff too..meanie, spreading the urge to hack everything in my tank to bits.

Yes in time. Sometimes the frags grow multiple mouths. Sometimes the mouths merge back into one or two.

I hacked up two forms last night. One that is basically a sold gold color, another is greenish with a purple mouth.

I never use gloves unless I'm working with the putty epoxy...then I double glove. Then again, my hands are not very sensitive to most things. If I put gloves on every time I went into my tanks I'd be broke quick.
