Does something eat acans? 2 maroon clowns, 1 small watchman, couple peppermint shrimp, 1 pistol shrimp, hermits, snails?

I suspected the peppermint shrimps ate my fleshy plate corals before. Keep an eye on them

My vote is the peppermint shrimp. I had some that loved acans

I have watched the asterina starfish in my tank eat entire heads off my acan colonies. Watch out for the buggers I didn't notice it until it was too late and the bastard had eaten 1/3 of my $100 rainbow acan. I new check my acans everyday to make sure there are not any starfish. I have also added in two harlequin shrimp do destroy my asterina starfish problem

I have personally seen peppermint shrimp eating acans and I don't keep them in my tank because of it. You may be OK if they're well fed, but that would be my guess.

I've never seen substantiated evidence of altering stars eating LPS or Acans but anything is possible.
