Ok so my landlord had some guys come over to fix my ceiling. Once they was done tearing it down and they where cleaning up they took it upon them selves to use my water change bucket to put chunks of the dry wall in and dump it. Now my question is would it be safe to use if I clean it up or should I toss it?

If it was just dry wall I'd think it would be fine as long as you rinse the bucket out well.

There was lots of dust and dry wall pieces in it.

Lame! Bring your own equipment for a job! IMO toss it buy a couple new buckets.

Yeah, a bucket is only $5. Why risk it? I agree its probably fine. But PROBABLY. Lol don't risk it

Yea agreed, definitely throw out the used buckets. Who knows what chemicals are in the dust fragments

If it was just drywall (gypsum) and the drywall screws ect it's fine. Clean well and use. No if they tossed any bonding agent ie. Liquid nails. Or joint compound ya might rethink it

I ended up just tossing the bucket and bought a few new ones.

come over to my place, I will give you 5 x 5gallon of clean buckets to use.
i have a lot of them that i dont know what to do with them.
