True, but that is where my apex should alert me to a power failure or if temp goes out of range.

When I set up my tank I didn't, but I spent the 20$ and installed 2 Gfci outlets that I use for the tank.
Where renting right now, but looking for a house. When we buy I'll definitely be putting the fish room on its own dedicated circuit.

I have a GFCI circuit breaker. House came wired with them, but before I always ran a GFCI plug in. Has saved me once or twice after dropping live wire into the tank...

I have a GFCI plug now after my original power chord, not on GFCI, caught fire under my tank. Luckily damage was minimal now I use GFCI so that will not happen again hopefully.

I have 2 dedicated 20 gfci for my tank. I like being alive.

Chris why'd you use both a breaker and receptacle? I see no need for the redundancy.

The receptacle one was already there but there are other receptacles that I use that are not gfci on the same breaker so I put the gfci breaker in.
