Want to start 1st salt water tank

I want to start a salt water tank. I want to do Live Rock and Triggers only. I want the tank to be about 75-100 gallons.

Whats should I run for lighting and filtration ? Should I add a protien skimmer just doing LR and Triggers ?

Lighting wouldnt have to be as intense as for corals. A couple pc's would do the trick. I would say yes get as big a skimmer as you can. I have a picasso trigg and hes a real messy eater. I also run a reactor with carbon and phosphate remover. Also plan on doing frequent wc's. I do about 20% weekly.

if its fish only, you could use any type flighting you want really, a cheap t5 dual fixture would be good. like they said above a skimmer would do you well, you could also use a hob style filter, just make sure u clean every 2-3 weeks or so

you do want a skimmer, keep in mind down the road u might change ur mind and want to add corals, (this is how we all start lol)
