Absolutely. That's the one I have always used on all my tanks (currently own two of those) and many other members here use that same one also and will attest that they are well worth every penny.
The higher up models are for the crazy fanatics who need to control tanks of like 90 gallons or more who dose stuff and have auto-top-offs that run on it and all sorts of crazy stuff.
Not really necessary in my opinion, a basic controller and proper husbandry does just fine. Though making the hobby easier to maintain is always comforting. Lol.
So yeah, just get the basic. It'll last a lifetime and make your life very very much easier. I mean it's not a requirement, especially if you're short on cash setting things up, it can wait.
But it definitely is very very nice to own whether now or somewhere down the road.
Not to mention if you ever decide you don't want/need it anymore, they hold their value extremely well. You'll rarely see a used one sell for less than $90 anywhere.
