alk and mg swings

hi brs,

got a little problem,

i tested my alk at 1:30pm and it was at 11dkh
i tested it again at 300pm and it was at 8.5dkh
with elos test kit

i tested the same time for mg and it was 1350ppm
but 2 days ago it was at 1600ppm
with elos test kit

calcium is stable at 400ppm
w/ elos test kit


what can be the problem for these swings??

Some say that you have to hold the dropper bottle absolutely vertical.
But,I've just switched from Salifert to Elos and I plan to switch back.The problem with Elos is the dropper bottle reacts to Low atmospheric pressure.
I've actually taken the cap off and had liquid solution come dripping out without squeezing the tube.This doesn't happen with Salifert as you're sucking up the solution before testing.
I know this isn't a place for reviews,but this seems to be a problem with accuracy of the Elos test kits.

Hobby grade test kits are only so accurate. This could be more test error than anything?
