Leaky RODI faucet connector?

It's screwed in as tight as it goes. I mean I guess I could use plumber tape, but its kinda silly since I'm going to take it in and out of my faucet. It's the plastic one that shipped with my Coral Life. Should I buy a metal one? Or install something under the sink?

If the RO unit is going to be permanently mounted plumb it in under the sink
they sell a fitting that ties into you cold water feed that has a built in shutoff
that will end any leaking and eliminates the hassle of tying up the faucet

Use a saddle valve and tie into a cold water line under the sink, or buy the metal faucet adapter with the button/lever to divert water to the R.O unit.

this is from my refrigerator install guide
NOTE: Commonwealth of Massachusetts Plumbing
Codes 248CMR shall be adhered to. Saddle valves
are illegal and use is not permitted in Massachusetts.
Consult with your licensed plumber.

They make a piece for installing Ice makers that is not a saddle valve. You disconnect the hose going to the cold water faucet install the adapter screw the hose to the top of the adapter and on the side is a smaller fitting that the plastic ro hose will fit onto.No pipes are pierced this way.
