Can anyone recommend the best way to transport Live Rock ? It will be in the car a couple of hours so I want to use the best possible way to make sure it will be fine. Thanks in advance, Phil

Just wrap it in newspaper and stack it in a tote. Then pour some water over the top so everything is good and wet.Make sure that if you park somewhere for a while that it's not in the sun.

Great, Thanks for the fast reply.

Hey,no problem.
I'm basically watching the clock tick till 4:30,then out of here!
But, back to the rock.I've transported rock from S. Mass. to my house. That took over an hour to do and it was just wrapped in wet newspaper. The rock only sat in my tank for about 1 hr before mushroom corals and hitchhikers started to come out and open up.Never even had a hint of a cycle.

did you use brand new water without a hint of a cycle?

Yup,all brand new mixed water.
I had the water circulating for about a week in the before I picked up the rock. The rock I picked up was in a fellow reefer's holding bin with circulation as well.Never had a cycle.
